Week 68 - Surprise Transfer Time!

Good Day all you good looking people,
It was a week I would have never expected.  As you heard about last week, I came to Eindhoven and was serving with my Finnish friend. Life is always unexpected and is full of surprises.  A lot has changed this week. But nothing in a bad way.  Elder Torniainen was emergency transferred to where I just came from!  Good ol´ Rotterdam.  He has been given a calling in the Rotterdam Zuid and you won´t believe who my new comp is... I´ll send you some photos to see!  haha I´ll just tell you.  About 1.5 years ago....I walked into a strange classroom filled with new sounds and smells which I called home for 7 weeks.  The first person I saw (other than my teachers)...was my good ol´ friend and new companion....Elder Ames! Elder Ames will now be my companion here in Eindhoven!  It´s going to be exciting. It´s the first time either one of us will be white-washing so we are excited for the new adventure.  We got everything in order...just time to put in some work and get things rollin!  haha it´s a little weird to be serving with someone in the same group as myself....especially because we haven´t really seen each other since the MTC.  Fortunately, the language has come a little ways since then.   Man....hot diggity dog...it´s going to be sweet!

This week was a good one.  It was fast and with the big change that happened all of a sudden... it feels like it was over before it began!  We have been focusing a lot on using the Spirit in all that we do as we try to apply him in as many aspects of our lives as we can.  We have seen a lot of miracles as we have put our faith to the test and have done our best to follow the thoughts that have come to our heads and the feelings that have come to hearts.  It´s amazing what happens as you continue to follow the ideas that come to your head.

We had one experience where we kept following all these thoughts and feelings and nothing ever came of it.  Well...not what we expected would happen at least.  Everyone was saying no and not wanting to hear from us.  But...we kept on going...and kept following all of the impressions we could think and feel.  The Lord provided us with an answer to know that all the impressions we had were from Him as we came across a lady at the very end of the day.

She was on her scooter mobile as we all crossed paths on a sidewalk.  If we weren´t there at that exact time...we would have not seen her.  She came up to us and asked who we were.  We told her and she ended up saying she thought we were from another religion but she felt something different.  She said she felt that we worked with the Spirit and she knew that we had something special to share. This lady turns out to be really spiritual and religious.   She is a Messianic Jew and has read the bible countless times so it was really cool and the best part is that she is open to learn what we share.  She knows that her Father in Heaven will guide her and she is looking for something and hopefully we will be able to help her find it.

The Lord will always guide us.  Sometimes we will not see the fruits of our labour...at least in the way that we would think.  However...all these impressions, thoughts and feelings come for a reason.  We will see that they come from Him as we follow them.  I know that we build our trust in Him and we start to understand the language of the Spirit as we try our faith and follow and endure with patience.

I love you all and I hope you have a good week!
The ward is pretty freaking fantastic here.  We went out with some of the young men to hand out copies of Book of Mormon after church and they gave 2 away in 1 hour.  The ward is really working at spreading the gospel as a family.  It´s so fun!

Love,
