Right now
we have 14 friends who are progressing towards baptism...
The past week I learned a lot about speaking and doing things for people
in a personal way. From colouring baptismal calendars with flags of
countries, stars and flowers with faces and colouring them in with sweet
colours, to teaching our words and not the words that we learn. Let me
clarify. We teach a man who is highly intelligent. He went to
oxford, he worked for NATO, he speaks many languages and he reads the most interesting
books. He is really good at reading people and he enjoys studying the behaviour
of people. He is one of my favourite people ever. We teach and
learn the deepest and coolest things when speaking with him. For
example....we discussed what eternities meant...and if being eternal was possible...it
led to we have things that will help us gain faith but in the end we need to
exercise our faith and find the answer for our own...which led to a discussion
of 2 mirrors facing each other that help us to catch a glimpse of something
that is endless....just soooo good. The Spirit really puts things into
your head. Things you don’t understand why you are saying them but in the
end you can piece everything together. You have to teach this man from
personal experience and share the message we have in your way. He will
know if you are quoting a book or something you’ve ready. I’ve learned to
take in the Gospel and share it in the way that Jesse Holt would and not the
books that I have learned it from. God gives us experiences that help us
become like him. We then can share the experience in the way we learned
it. There is a reason why breaking copyright is against the law! To
